Can Enchants Be Sold In The Auction House? (updated 28-Dec-2009)
Scribes can create a weapon and/or armor vellum which, once enchanted, will turn into a scroll that can be traded or sold in the AH.

Oddly enough, the best way to get your weapon enchanted is still asking in trade chat. Very few enchanters sell their enchants via the AH.
Do glows look different on different weapons?
For the most part, the glow color as you'll see referenced here is pretty much the same for most weapons. However, there are some weapons where the glow depends on the weapon. Of course the glow effect will vary for just about every weapon because weapons come in all shapes, forms and sizes. See below for a couple of perfect examples of this.
Do other enchanted items glow; such as shields, bracers, cloaks, etc?
As of the current patch only enchanted weapons give off a glow. One can only hope that Blizzard will consider having other enchanted items glow in a future patch and/or the expansion.
Do the enchants of Burning Crusade glow?
Blizzard added glows to the Burning Crusade in patch 2.1. These additions will be added to the site in the near future.
Fiery is more reddish than Demonslaying which should be orange.
This is incorrect and a common misconception. Having compared the two on numerous different weapons, they are in fact the exact same glow. Go ahead and try it for yourself. :)
How long did this take you to do?
Even though I'm a level 460 enchanter, I don't have all the enchants yet. I've had to hunt down people who had a number of the enchants and farm extreme amounts of gold in order to pay for them. I began the whole process in late February 2006, launched the site in March and finished the enchanted glows in May 2006. The months of August and September of 2006 were spent on version 2 of the site making it dynamic to support the glows for various other weapons. So in short, this site is an ongoing project.
How much should I charge or what should I expect to pay?
This is another question I get pretty frequently and I'll tell you right now it all depends on you, but there are some good things to keep in mind.

1. The price will never be the same, as the prices of mats fluctuate in the AH on each server.
2. Most enchanters I've spoken with will enchant members of their guild free with mats (I do).
3. If you're buying an enchant you should expect to pay an honest tip above and beyond the cost of mats, similar to how you expect to make a profit from what you sell in the auction house. Don't ever buy into any crap about a "set" or "going" rate for an enchant. There's no such thing. An enchanter touting "going" rates is going to rip you off... find another enchanter.
4. If you're a Seller, be reasonable. I've seen guys try and charge 50g - 200g (gasp! yeah right!) on higher end enchants where the mats are already either extremely expensive or difficult to farm. Ok, so you think you deserve it (in a sense I agree, remember I'm an enchanter too), but I can tell you right now that overcharging for enchants will do two things:
a) no one will ever refer friends to you.
b) you'll be very broke because you'll rarely enchant.
The enchanters making the best and most money are the ones who are reasonable, negotiable and understanding. Would you rather gouge your customer and never see them again (getting paid only once) or would you rather be reasonable, have that person come to you again AND refer their friends to you (getting paid many times over)? Being an enchanter is excellent money only if you know how to build your network. The guys spamming channels, advertising their services and overcharging aren't making crap compared to the true potential of this profession.

So how do you start your business? Level like mad to 375 so you have a good range of enchants, get in a guild and make sure everyone knows you're the go-to guy for enchanting and then answer PSTs for enchant requests in the trade channel. Finally close EVERY sale with "add me to your friends/tell your friends". Uber cash this way... you'll have a good sized network in no time. :)
Isn't there a black glow?
There is currently no enchant that makes a weapon glow black. However, there are a number of weapons that carry their own "black" glow which can be seen in the fixed glows on this site.
May I use your icons/images on my site?
Of course. Please be sure to give me credit on your page and send me a link so I can see my stuff in action. :)
The icons look the same... did you Photoshop them?
None of the images/screenshots on this site are altered. I genuinely got every enchant you see to make sure it glowed the color you see. However, Blizzard shared some glows among enchants; for example the demonslaying glow is the same as fiery weapon. I figured since Blizzard could share enchants, so could I. I took the best screen from similar glows and you'll see an identical shot for two different glows.
This site is stupid... it's the bonus that matters not the glow.
I find this an amusing comment that I get ALL the time... gotta love hate mail. The funny thing is that I couldn't agree with you more. However, if your an enchanter you know that one of the most common questions you're asked is what color the enchant glows, I've yet to meet an enchanter that hasn't been asked this question a number of times. This site was created so enchanters could have a reference for those people who ask that question. I think the answer to those that don't understand why people care about the glow is that many people care about what their character looks like.
What quality of weapon should I enchant?
That's really up to you. Blue and better quality items will glow and many greens will as well. Gray quality weapons will NOT hold a glow.
What weapons are used in the icons/screenshots?
I chose the Bloodrazer because it was a flat, shiny surface and I felt it presented the enchants well. I chose the Windweaver Staff because its white tip also presented the enchants well. I tried other weapons for both and none really got the basic approach I was looking for.

v2 of this site has introduced the ability to add your own screenshots to the site. Hopefully over time the screenshots will include a multitude of weapons.
Why are the screenshots so dark?
The focus is on the enchanted glow, not the character or the weapon. I found the darkest [safe] place I could find in WOW and this is where I took the screens in order to achieve the best visual presentation of the glows.
